Mission and Vision
The Mission
The mission of Christ Community is to help children, youth and adults grow in a joyful, balanced walk with Jesus. To accomplish this we will :
- WELCOME all people into childlike company with Jesus and His famly
- Teach them to live freely and lightly in a maturing daily WALK with Jesus
- Equip them to WATCH over one another in Jesus' love
- Send them to WORK with Jesus to reach the overlooked or ignored
- In order to WORSHIP Jesus in all of life.
The Vision
- We invite and welcome friends, neighbors, and people from our community to our church, where we share the love of Jesus and the good news of salvation, and help them to learn to experience a Spirit-filled, Christian life.
- The people of Christ Community Church love and care of one another as we develop a balanced Christian walk.
- Christ Community Church is seen as a center for spiritual development of children and youth who grow to make a difference for Jesus Christ in our neighborhood, in the city, and to the ends of the earth.
- Christ Community Church impacts the neighborhood, city, and world through prayer and financial support to missionaries, local missions, other ministries, and United Methodist projects and programs, and through participation as missionaries.
- Prayer undergirds all aspects of Christ Community Church; prayer ministry serves to strengthen the people and ministires of the church; teaching is Bible-based and Christ-centered; and people become empowered by the Holy Spirit for ministry.
